The Tree House – Weybridge

There is a giant giraffe who’s head I can see on my morning jogs down the Queens Road in Weybridge, it had me intrigued. The giraffe (not real I should point out), is part of a new restaurant that has just popped up in Weybridge, and the area needed it.

The Tree House, which opened in July, already has some 13 reviews on Trip Advisor and I am soooooooo glad I didn’t read them before I went.  The majority of the reviews are quite dire and personally, any bad experiences should be put down to them having just opened… I loved it.

The restaurant’s menu has a large selection of Gluten free options and their claim is that all of their vegetables and herbs are to be served within hours of harvesting.  The menu isn’t large and for someone that doesn’t eat seafood, I didn’t have a lot of options for starters however I did go for the beef carpaccio which was really lovely and a good size.  For mains, we were starving and whilst the rest of my party went for the burger with blue cheese, I had the rump steak with lovely tomatoes, onions and a portion of fat chips..

Service wise, the staff were wonderful, especially the manager Anca (hope I have spelt her name correctly), whom went above and beyond to wait on us.  I even mentioned how much I loved the horseradish and she gave me some to take home.

Between the four of us, we got through a few beers, 3 bottles of wine (standad) a few gin and tonics, 4 mains, 3 starters and the whole bill was only £160.  At £40 per head I think amazing value.

If you have children there is a children’s play area where you could leave them for hours.  I am sure The Tree House will be  big hit for those Weybridge Yummy Mummy’s whilst they “do lunch”.

Am quite looking forward to going back – don’t listen to those Trip Adviser reviews if you do go.  Try it for yourself.
